Rental is perfect for getting equipped with no upfront cost, and buying works out better after roughly 2 years of use. Both options come with no commitment.

Buy, and you pay for the device (€199 for the mini, €299 for the 3s), your first month of subscription is free, then the subscription runs at €5/month. The hardware comes with a 2-year warranty.

Rent, and everything sits inside the monthly fee: €9.99/month for the mini, €14.99/month for the 3s, plus a €29 activation fee charged after the first month. Rental throws in two real perks: a lifetime warranty on the hardware (the device is replaced free of charge if it fails) and, if your stolen motorcycle never turns up, a new GeoRide sent free of charge to protect the next one.
