Why are adventure bikes such a target for thieves?

Because they are recent, expensive and very easy to sell on, whole or in parts. Look at the most targeted models in GeoRide's 2026 Motorcycle Theft Observatory (survey of 4,600+ GeoRide users in France): it reads like the car park of an adventure bike rally. The Ténéré 700 sums up the story well.
