GeoRide at the Telematics and Connected Mobility Conference 2025 in Lithuania

Last week, Vilnius in Lithuania hosted one of the major events in the field of IoT and connected mobility: the Telematics & Connected Mobility Conference, organised by Gurtam.

Experts from around the world gathered to discuss the future of connected solutions, from hardware to the applications that are transforming our daily lives.

Among the speakers, GeoRide founder Thomas Chambon took the floor to share the GeoRide story and explain how an idea born out of a motorcycle theft in 2017 became, 8 years later, a company able to recover 90% of stolen bikes in under 24 hours.

From a stolen bike to a global IoT player

Thomas tells the GeoRide story often: "2017, my bike gets stolen and I know nothing about GPS trackers."

That painful experience sparked the desire to create a different kind of solution, designed by riders for riders. Today, GeoRide has become a key player in motorcycle security, with a technology that combines:
