On 1 April, a user alerted us that his magnificent Kawasaki H2 had been stolen during the night. It was not an April Fools' joke. We were able to support him through every step with the police.
Our goal? To provide all the necessary information and help him through a moment we know is stressful. The GeoRide 3, hidden in his H2, allowed us to locate it as soon as it left its security zone. The motorcycle was being kept in a van fully covered with tarpaulin on the inside in an attempt to jam GPS/GSM communication, without success. What happens if my two-wheeler is stolen with GeoRide?
GeoRide alerts you immediately if your motorcycle moves.
In the event of theft, our after-theft Assistance, available 24/7, takes over with the police to help you recover your two-wheeler. 90% of stolen vehicles recovered in less than 24 hours (GeoRide data from 1 January to 31 December 2022).
Recovered or replaced. If we do not find your vehicle, a new GeoRide is sent to you free of charge to equip your new motorcycle.

GeoRide 3 lets you detect your two-wheeler underground thanks to the anti-theft siren, which can be triggered remotely with or without network coverage.

The motorcycle alarm on your smartphone: GeoRide
GeoRide is a motorcycle alarm on your smartphone: an app connected to a GPS tracker wired to your motorcycle. The app is available on the usual download platforms (App Store and Play Store) and is completely free. It was designed to offer a complete service built around riders' needs: locating the motorcycle, reassuring loved ones, and being reassured. It offers three main features to meet those needs: GPS tracker, crash detection and connected anti-theft alarm. Fitting the motorcycle alarm takes just a few minutes, and the guide supplied with it ensures you make no mistakes when wiring it up.
A motorcycle alarm that watches over your vehicle
GeoRide set out to develop a motorcycle alarm with the goal of reassuring all riders when they park their motorcycle in the street, in a public car park or anywhere else. Motorcycle thefts are quite frequent, especially during the summer, and mostly at night while you are asleep. In 2017, up to an estimated 109,000 motorcycles and scooters were stolen. Statistics show that three quarters of the time, the theft happens close to your home, and half the time, it happens in the street.
A little more than half of stolen motorcycles are recovered a few days after the theft, mainly when they are fitted with a GPS tracker that shows the vehicle's position in real time.
Fitting a connected motorcycle alarm for your smartphone is far from superfluous. While it does not prevent theft in most cases, it does help the police recover the stolen vehicle as quickly as possible. Equipped with a GPS chip and a powerful siren, the motorcycle alarm for your phone lets you locate your motorcycle even if it is hidden in a garage or a van.
Insurance companies may give you a discount on your premium if you have a two-wheeler alarm. Take the time to contact several insurers to choose the one offering the best and most suitable deal.
Many insurers will recommend an SRA motorcycle alarm (SRA is a French insurance certification) to secure your vehicle. However, an SRA-approved alarm for motorcycles is not essential to protect it effectively. SRA is a certification standard, but it in no way guarantees that your vehicle will not be stolen.

The best motorcycle alarm
GeoRide was developed to bring together several features: crash detection, alarm and GPS for motorcycles. By combining the GPS tracker with the connected alarm, we were able to offer a feature that is functional, responsive and accurate. The motorcycle alarm system works like this: the self-powered motorcycle alarm, connected to the motorcycle, can geolocate it and detect if someone touches or moves it while it is in a locked zone.
It then sends the information to the app on your smartphone, which passes it on via the notification of your choice (call or push notification). From there, either you go out and check that your motorcycle is still there and it was a false alarm, or you see that a theft attempt is really under way and you can immediately call the police.
Locked zones are places where you usually park your motorcycle, such as your home, your workplace, a bar or a supermarket.
Your anti bike-jacking motorcycle alarm app locks these zones once you enter one of them, and activates the vibration and movement detector of the GPS tracker wired to your motorcycle. It also informs you if the tracker's power supply is disconnected, and the tracker will keep working anyway thanks to its internal battery.
The wireless motorcycle alarm is fully independent from the app. Even if the app is not running on your phone, you will still receive the notification warning you of a possible theft attempt.
